Future Day at Sport-Thieme

This year, we welcomed 12 students from various grade levels on Thursday, April 3, for a morning of discovery at Sport-Thieme. Janne and Erik, both in their third year of training in wholesale and foreign trade management, guided the group. The main focus was to introduce the different vocational training programs available at Sport-Thieme.

To kick off the morning, we started with a short round of introductions so everyone could get to know each other. We then gave an interactive presentation about Sport-Thieme and the apprenticeships we offer.

Scavenger hunt as the highlight

The clear highlight for many of the kids was the “Sport-Thieme scavenger hunt.” We split the group into two teams and led them through our headquarters in Grasleben. Laurin and Niels, fellow trainees, joined us for support. The students tackled a variety of fun challenges—like activity-based tasks in our fitness room and a quiz on our wood production area. The scavenger hunt ended in a thrilling table football match where both teams went head-to-head. To wrap things up, we held a small prize ceremony. The winning team got first pick from the “treasure chest” filled with Sport-Thieme goodies.

We ended the morning with a shared lunch and a feedback session. The honest responses were overwhelmingly positive, with special praise for the scavenger hunt—which, of course, made us very happy. We thoroughly enjoyed having the students here and are already looking forward to the next Future Day at Sport-Thieme.
