When Karl-Heinz Thieme founded Sport-Thieme as a one-man business in the attic of his house in Grasleben in 1949, he likely never imagined it would grow into a family-run company with over 400 employees.
Together with my wife, Katharina Thieme-Hohe, I took over the management of the company in 2014 from my father-in-law, Dr. Hans-Rudolf Thieme. I am proud to lead our family business into its third generation, embracing the challenges of today.

Through the consistent development of new business areas and a customer-focused approach to our product range, we have grown since our founding into a globally operating company and Germany’s largest mail-order retailer for institutional sports.
