  • Economic

environmental responsibility – for future generations

Our goal is to combine top product quality and service with effective environmental protection. This spans forward-thinking resource management, environmentally friendly materials, and conscious energy use.

Our commitment to the environment drives us to develop new ideas and concepts, actively involving our employees and partners in the learning process. We strive to make a positive impact beyond legal requirements—switching to a paperless office, using recycled paper, implementing targeted waste reduction measures, carbon-neutral shipping, and serving Fairtrade and organic products during meetings.

We regularly review our processes to make our company more sustainable every day, aiming to achieve climate neutrality no later than 2040.

As a manufacturer of gymnastics equipment, we emphasize the use of sustainable raw materials. Products bearing the relevant label are primarily made from wood sourced from suppliers who participate in voluntary wood protection programs.

social responsibility – for communities, people, and the region

We consider it self-evident to act responsibly within and beyond our company boundaries. Every day, we are committed to supporting people around us—our staff, customers, and suppliers. We also cooperate with partner organizations and associations, participate in charitable projects, and support nonprofit initiatives—especially in sports, exercise, education, and social welfare.

As a signatory of the “Diversity Charter,” we prioritize recognition, appreciation, and the promotion of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. For our employees, we offer tailored development opportunities, ongoing training, modern and ergonomic workstations, flexible schedules to support work-life balance, and regular health programs. The focus is on health, well-being, and long-term career prospects.

We also take social responsibility seriously outside the company: Our apprentices take part in volunteer projects with Special Olympics Germany; we offer summer vacation programs for children at our main location in Grasleben; and students from our partner university, Ostfalia, have opportunities for internships or trainee positions.

economic responsibility – acting sustainably

For us, corporate responsibility means a commitment to both sustainability and economic success. This ensures our long-term competitiveness and the freedom to incorporate ecological, social, and societal considerations. This way, we can create and maintain jobs while safeguarding our independence.

Sustainable economic success is the basis of our growth. That growth, in turn, is the foundation of our continued success. Both are fundamentally interconnected. As an industry leader, we use our position to make Sport-Thieme a role model for sustainable business—for our teams, our communities, and society as a whole.

living well—without it coming at the expense of others

For us, sustainable development means that our current way of life and future activities must not disadvantage future generations, other nations, or endanger the existence of other species. True development keeps social, economic, and environmental goals in balance.
